We start with a focus on infant aquatic instruction for infants and young children, ages 6 months to 6 years. After these valuable skills are learned, your child will transition into a once- or twice-weekly class designed to enhance and refine, retain and practice their skills, encourage a love of all things aquatic, and transition into stroke development as age appropriate.
There are many schools of thought regarding swim lessons for children: Should it be survival skills only? Or should it be fun only, then skills when the child is "ready" (in other words, not crying)? At Fin 2 Swim, we bridge the gap between these two approaches. We know that children as young as 6 months can be taught to save themselves in an aquatic emergency. But we also believe that if you have a pool in your backyard, then it is there because you want your family to have fun! |
|
This is why with Fin 2 Swim, survival skills and fun are integrated along with water acclimation, breath control, propulsion and safety to provide your child with the most well rounded aquatic education. You will be so proud of your little one's newly acquired skills – you will see results in weeks, not years!
If you live in the NY/ NJ area, please be aware that we are traveling to your state and we are there only for 6 weeks each year and registration fills up quickly. All NY/NJ area students receive 5 private lessons per week, Monday- Friday, for 6 weeks, to learn or refresh the initial aquatic survival series. Lessons are approximately 10 minutes long for the survival series. |
|
Stroke work will be introduced to select children at the instructor's discretion and recommendation. This will be done 10 minutes a day, 4 or 5 days a week, for 6 weeks.
